About us

We are a small company based in West Wales producing awning privacy shades for campervan and motorhome wind out awnings. 

We have been camping since the early 2000’s and 10 years ago we bought our first camper van, a VW T5. Having travelled extensively in Europe we soon realised that our Fiamma awning didn’t provide us with the shade.
So began our journey to produce an awning shade to suit our needs. We wanted something that was compact and lightweight, fully waterproof, easy to put up and pack away and fit into a small space.
After many compliment's and enquiries we decided to launch Cysgod Awning Shades and set to work on further improving the product. We make them to fit Fiamma, Thule omnistor and Dometic and we do them in a variety of sizes and a choice of colours. All our privacy shades are made from 100% waterproof polyurethane coated fabric creating a waterproof barrier. The fabric also has DWR finish (durable water repellent) rain water just beads and rolls off. All our shade panels are made to order only.
